With you at the helm, I'm sure everything is going to be just lovely and perfect. I hope you post pictures!!
Maybe a doll could be in charge of the guest book?

Yep! It was my wedding reception here in Salt Lake that I had dolls attend. They looked great, and everyone thought they were cute!
It is so fun that you soon to be DIL has a love for dolls! Please post photos!

Julia - congratulations on your son's wedding. I am sure the cake will be fabulous based on your creative photos and Tiny Treats AG book. You have such an eye for detail.
I think a doll dressed in a bridal gown or a bridesmaid gown would be very cute. You could set her by the cake or by the presents.
I hope you post some pictures. Enjoy the wedding!

Julia, you must be VERY busy! Hope that you can soon relax and enjoy this wonderful event.
I agree with the others that a doll(or two) would be appropriate and add to the loveliness of the occasion.

I love that idea for a way to include the dolls! Is the dress on the one behind the basket a Carpatina dress?

Wow, what a lot of hats to be wearing! That's amazing that you can (and would) do so much . What a great mom. And congratulations for your son
As for the doll, I like the idea of one peeking out from behind a floral piece - like a little girl spying on the wedding. You could dress one as a flower girl and put her in the corner on a chair, and I also like the suggestion another member had of having one keep watch over the guestbook, as that's typically a younger person's job anyways.
With men around (even older ones) be careful - they can get roudy! I'd put the dolls where you can keep an eye on them and swoop in in case someone gets the wrong idea.
